Navigating the Dashboard
A quick tour of the controls.
The sidebar
Section titled “The sidebar”On desktop, the sidebar pins to the left edge of every screen. Top to bottom:
- Brand mark. Clicking the Elephany logo takes you back to the dashboard home.
- Site picker. Shows the publisher you’re currently viewing. If you have access to multiple sites, click it to switch (see Switching sites below).
- Analytics nav. Two tabs: Overview for sitewide KPIs and trend, Recipes for per-page detail.
- User card. Your name and email at the bottom. Click to reveal the Log out action.
The header
Section titled “The header”The header sits at the top of the main area and stays visible while you scroll. From left to right:
- Page title and date label, for example “Overview · Apr 23 – Apr 29, 2026”. The date label always reflects the active period.
- Period chip, a button labeled “Period: Last 7 days” (or Last 30 days / Custom). Click it to open the date picker.
Date range
Section titled “Date range”Click the Period chip to open the date-range picker. You’ll see:
- Last 7 days preset, ending at the most-recent available day (today minus 3).
- Last 30 days preset, same anchor, 30 days back.
- A calendar for picking any custom range.
Pick a preset and the dashboard reloads instantly. Pick a custom range and the chip will read “Custom” with the actual dates shown in the page-title strip.
Switching sites
Section titled “Switching sites”If you publish on more than one domain, the site picker in the sidebar becomes interactive.
- Click the current site name in the sidebar.
- A dropdown shows every site you have access to, with the active one checkmarked.
- Click another site to switch.
All KPIs, trends, and the recipe table reload scoped to the new site. The date range you’ve picked stays the same across switches.
If you only have access to one site, the picker is a label only.
Mobile
Section titled “Mobile”On screens 900 pixels wide or smaller, the sidebar collapses into a slide-in drawer. A hamburger button appears at the top-left of the screen.
- Tap the hamburger to slide the drawer in from the left.
- Tap the dimmed backdrop (or the X-shaped hamburger) to dismiss it.
- Tap a nav item (Overview or Recipes) and the drawer closes automatically as the page changes.
- The drawer also closes by itself if you rotate or resize the browser past the mobile breakpoint.
The header stays in place. Only the sidebar gets the drawer treatment, so you can change date ranges without opening the menu.
Logging out
Section titled “Logging out”Click your user card at the bottom of the sidebar (or the bottom of the drawer on mobile), then Log out. You’ll be returned to the sign-in screen and your session token is cleared.
